Some of you may recognize David Adams as tenor extraordinaire with the Chorale, and featured soloist on our Liturgy of St John Chrysostom CD, but did you also know he has performed in a variety of settings throughout the United States and Europe?

Specializing in the music of Handel, Mozart, and Rossini, roles to his credit include the title character in Acis and Galatea, and Jupiter in Semele, both by Handel. In the works of Mozart, Mr. Adams has sung Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Tamino in Die Zauberflote, Belmonte in Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail, Ferrando in Cosi fan Tutte, and the title roles in La Clemenza di Tito and Idomeneo.

He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Orchestra of New York, The Caramoor Festival (with the Orchestra of St. Luke's), New York City Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, The Kansas City Chamber Orchestra and the Syracuse Opera. Whew. Upcoming engagements include performances of Il Barbiere di Siviglia and The Merry Widow and recitals in Kansas City and Philadelphia.

Add to that a steady schedule of rehearsals and performances with the Chorale and you have one busy (talented) guy. David lives in south KC with his partner of 10 years, Warren.
