Baritone Joshua Lawlor is pleased to join the Kansas City Chorale this year as a new member. He is currently studying opera and classical song in the graduate division at the University of Kansas. In addition to regular stage performance, Joshua has placed first in regional, statewide, and tri-state N.A.T.S. competitions, and two young-artist competitions, twice qualifying him to sing with the Liberty Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, he presented an undergraduate senior recital at William Jewell College, and graduated in May. He also completed a term studying music history and singing choral music at Oxford University.

Bryan Taylor, baritone, joined the Chorale in 1992. He graduated from William Jewell College with a Music Education Degree and completed his Master of Music Degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music. In 1998, he sang under the direction of Robert Shaw at Carnegie Hall and Furman University in South Carolina. He performed again with the Robert Shaw Festival Singers in January 2000 at Carnegie Hall. Taylor taught Choral Music for 15 years at Kearney, MO High School, and is the Director of Music at Liberty, MO United Methodist Church.

Scott Kincaid, bass, joined the Chorale in 1998. A graduate of the University of Kansas, Mr. Kincaid also sang with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus for over 20 years starting in 1982, and performed in New York, Boston, Europe, and with the National Symphony of Mexico, in Mexico City. For the spring Stravinsky Festival 2001, he sang the bass solo for the Kansas City Ballet's recreation of Renard, a Stravinsky/Balanchine collaboration, and again in September 2005 with the CSU Camerata and New York City's Peter Pucci Dancers in Columbus, Georgia. He's been a guest singer with several choirs including the Phoenix Bach Choir and the Southeast Kansas Symphony Chorus. With the Chorale, he sang King Balthazar in Amahl and the Night Visitors in 2005. A church choir director for over 16 years, he is Director of Music at First United Methodist Church in Kearney, Missouri, and owns and operates a construction company in Kansas City.

Paul Davidson has been with the Chorale since 1995, and he is a soloist at Westport Presbyterian Church. Mr. Davidson studied full time at Kansas State University from 1988-1990 and 1992-1994, majoring in Geography. During the 1991-1992 interim, Paul took classes part time while he served on the National Council of the Student Environmental Action Coalition. From 1999 to 2004 he worked in the district office of Congressman Dennis Moore. Paul currently serves on the Boards of Rosedale Development Association in Kansas City, Kansas and Wheat State Pizza, Inc, in Lawrence, Kansas. He is Executive Director of the National Gulf War Resource Center, a Veterans service organization based in Kansas City.

Bradley Wilson, bass, is joining the Kansas City Chorale for his first season this year. He is a recent graduate from Iowa State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Arts Degree in music. He studied voice under the instruction of Dr. Donald Simonson. He has been active in choral activities throughout his education. Bradley has had the opportunity to sing at two national and two north central division American Choral Directors Association conventions. When he is not singing, Bradley works as a civil engineer in Crown Center.

Garrett W. Epp, bass, has sung with the Kansas City Chorale for more than eleven seasons. He has sung with the Robert Shaw Festival Chorus for four performances in Carnegie Hall. Garrett holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Music from Bethel College and Southern Methodist University. Since completing his D.M.A. Degree in Choral Conducting at the UMKC Conservatory of Music in 1993, he has been the Director of Choral Activities at Olathe North High School and High School Choral Facilitator for the Olathe District Schools. Garrett is the bass section leader at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church where he met his wife, Teresa. He and Teresa are proud parents of daughter Caroline.
